Soon, sad clown and happy clown are locked in a love triangle that spirals into spectacular violence. Written and directed by Álex de la Iglesia (The Day of the Beast), The Last Circus is a landmark in Spanish genre cinema – a blackly comic horror show that revels in the shocking, the transgressive and the absurd.
